About Us
Yoga

At its most basic level, Yoga means “connecting”.  In yoga, the most basic
connections are made between
movement (posture, asanas), awareness
(mindfulness, concentration, consciousness) and
breathing.   Yoga is the
practice of bringing these three elements together in any activity in which
you engage.  All of our classes are designed to support the development of
your yoga practice both on and off the mat.  This means using yoga as a
vehicle to support your physical, psychological and spiritual development
and well-being.  Green Tea Yoga offers yoga for people at different of
levels and interests. Click

Therapeutic Massage

accomplished through the use of our muscles.  Maintaining bodily health
provides the foundation for living a full life. If you are in physical pain,
experience stress in your life, or simply seek a private oasis to reinvigorate
yourself, body therapy can help. We provide massage and body therapy to
alleviate pain, reduce stress, and achieve relaxation.  Many clients are
referred by their physicians for body therapy to supplement  medical
treatment.  Click

Personal Growth and Development

At Green Tea Yoga, we work to support the development of our clients as
whole persons. While a genuine yoga practice can help you achieve a sense
of physical and psychological centering in your life, many of us seek ways
to continue to develop all parts of our selves.  For this reason, we provide
a series of
personal growth and development workshops as well as life
coaching
in a variety of areas.  Click here to view our list of upcoming
workshops and events.  Click

*What's that you say?  You don't actually like Green Tea?   Hmmm.  Okay, how about this?  Simply substitute the type of tea you do
like.  Earl Grey, Black Tea, Oolong...whatever.  (Although
Earl Grey Tea Yoga sounds kinda stupid...)  Huh?  You say you don’t like tea
at all?  Well, that just makes us want to work harder to come up with something that
will suit your fancy.

Welcome.

When we purchased the Prana Health and Yoga Center from Shay and Charles Cooper in November of 2008, we
did more than buy a business.  We inherited a legacy.  Shay and Charles started Prana in 1990, and for 18
years they provided yoga and healing massage to hundreds of people on the North Shore.  We hear memories
all the time:  “I took my first yoga class at Prana”, “I tried my first handstand at Prana”, “Shay taught me how
to do crow.”  “A friend brought me here in 1997 and I have been coming here ever since.”  “Charles fixed my
shoulder problem” and so much more.  Our past teacher rosters read like a veritable “who’s who” of yoga
instruction on the North Shore.  Many of the area’s top teachers got their start at Prana, and we are
delighted to say that several have returned to teach here at Green Tea.  Who comes to Green Tea Yoga?
Since we believe that yoga is for everyone, we’ll answer, “Everyone.”  We have grandmothers, triathletes,
grandmothers who are triathletes, beginners, seasoned yogis, runners, golfers, college students, you name
it.  We welcome everyone no matter where you are on the path.  No matter what your intention, whether
you come to work out, relax, stretch out, connect, or you really have no idea why, we welcome you.

Our mission is simple.  To share the healing gifts of yoga and massage with as many people as possible, and to
help create a more peaceful and healthy community through and with these people.

Namaste,

Alicia Diozzi and Michael Mascolo
